Tobey, my little boy

My black and silver mini schnauzer Tobey passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. He would have been 11 in June. He had been doing well until Wednesday. It was unusually cold for my area. His bark was hoarse. I let him out of his cage on Thursday, and he kept falling around. He was laying on his side. He couldn't roll over. He wasn't able to eat. That was very unusual for him. I held him in my arms for a few minutes. His head was on my chest. I went to bed and prayed that God would show mercy. I didn't want to see him suffer. I didn't have the heart to euthanize him. I woke up Friday morning, and God took him home. My dad has another playmate now.

I placed Tobey in a small banana box with sheets to cover him for vet burial. It was one of the hardest things I had to do. He was the best dog I ever had. I am really heartbroken. It was sudden, but he suffered for only a short time.
