The Mighty Flynn

Flynn's last day

Black and silver and handsome, he would have been 12 today but was laid to rest 3 days before his birthday. Born May 22, 2001, heart failure took him too soon.

I knew him from before birth to after death. Defiant and loving, he was a great adventurer even when we wish he wasn't. To his last days he never passed up an opportunity to squeeze through a fence or dash out the door, always to find his way back grinning happily. A snuggler and a hugger, I loved you and will miss you Flynn.

You were blessed to have your boy Flynn for the time he was with you. Our furbabies are such an important part of our lives. My Chippy passed July 2011 after 17 years. We likened him to a cat with 9 lives - he's had he paw broken (from being underfoot), Lyme disease, escaping and being found by a therapy dog and a bout of pancreatitis. He was as tough as nails to the end. Chewy on the other hand is a lover boy and a mush - he never leaves my side.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss, Flynn was beautiful and in true Schnauzer fashion loved you as well. I am lucky to have had the love of my 2 girls Muffin and Greta both Mini's. You will see your Flynn again at the Bridge one day.
