Shadow the Schnauzer

Shadow was a dog I had since I was very young, as a matter of fact, I don't have any memories without him. He passed away at 16. He had dementia and was starting to become incontinent and weak. The most kind thing to do was to put him down and let him finally rest. I will never forget how he looked before he was given medicine to make him rest before the euthanasia. He was frantic, as if he knew what was happening, as if he was scared and there was nothing we could do to comfort him. I know that he made it safely to his destination though. He was an amazing friend and an amazing brother. As his birthday approaches I think of him, and pray that he is safe with god.
