Olivia imprinted on my children from day one when we picked her up 9 years ago. They cuddled her, played with her, and cried deeply whenever she was sick. It was over time she imprinted on me. Having not grown up with a pet, I was a bit standoffish. Yet, she ignored that and would follow me anywhere. The responsibility of having a dog was burdensome at times; but, it became one of our greatest blessings. The responsibilities were a very cheap price for her priceless love.
She gave us and taught us what unwavering love feels like! I knew losing her would be hard but didn’t think it would be this hard and this painful. I know the degree of pain is another testament to how much we love her! This kind of love will never die. She is forever a part of our hearts.
They say all dogs go to heaven - if this was untrue, I know in my heart God would make the exception for our Livy. She protected us. She never wanted to see us fight. She demanded affection from everyone. She was patient with us. She was beautiful, smart, charming, … absolutely everything we would want and need in a family member. She completed us. Her earthly absence has broken us and we pray God heals us through our gratitude and acceptance. We are extremely thankful for her time spent with us and accept her loving memories will live on forever.
Forever missing and forever loving our sweet sweet Olivia,
