Our Little Boy, Arnie
by Stu & Yvonne
(North Wales)
We said goodbye to our beautiful boy, Arnie last week on 20 May, 2020 after 12 years of unconditional love. He came in to our lives in 2008 when my wife, Yvonne had stage 4 cancer. I truly believe it was Arnie’s love, affection (and antics!) that helped her through this time.
We were inseparable as a family, Arnie came everywhere with us, days out and holidays and was a huge part of our lives.
In 2015, we welcomed a little sister for Arnie in to the house, he was very protective of Ellie and became great playmates bringing a new dynamic to the family.
The following year, Arnie was diagnosed with Cushings disease which was a real shock but through a lot of love and some medication, he lived a full and happy life.
Arnie had a beautiful temperament, he was sensitive and loving, a true family dog. Some people say he was a lucky dog to have had the life he had with us but we think we’re the lucky ones to have had such a beautiful, caring and loyal little dog who made such a huge difference to our lives, he was our very special little boy.
The days feel so empty without him and the pain from losing him is immense, I’m sure that one day the tears of sorrow will change to happy memories of all the good times we spent together and there were lots of them.
Arnie is with the angels now, enriching their days as he did ours.
Rest in peace our beautiful boy
Love Mummy, Daddy and Ellie
