Old Man Dean

Dean aged 13.5

I lost Old Man Dean on April 17th 2017 to kidney failure. Having to help a loved dog over the Rainbow Bridge is a very difficult thing but the right Thing. Old Man Dean has a story on this site of being rescued. I rescue him at age 12, he had been abandoned at a lake close by in the middle of summer (108+). It was such an honor to have him with me even if only for a year and a half. Good night sweet prince. Thank you for taking care of ME.

I'm so sorry. I remember your story of rescue of him.I am so glad he got to spend his last year's with you.He was a handsome old man, now he is a healthy handsome boy running free.

How could anyone have ever abandoned such a beautiful boy? I'm so glad you found him and gave him love. So sad but I'm sure his last few years on earth, with you, were amazing. So sorry for your loss. It's heart breaking. Thinking of you.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I bet he was just a sweet boy. It is such a tough decision but I believe we all choose the right time to set them free. I just hope all the little schnauzers meet at the bridge and absolutely run amok with all the other dogs. Let's hope they are pain free and as happy as they should be. They all deserve to be.
