Lady Anne (aka Annie)

Annie will be 6 years old on August 31, 2011, and she is absolutely the sweetest schnauzer in the world!

My Dad and I got up early one Saturday morning and drove to a schnauzer breeder 3 hours away, hoping to find a puppy to bring home with us. We were still heartbroken over having lost our last schnauzer, Ami Beau Noir (Beau)to acute kidney failure, caused by the poisoned dog food imported from China that cost so many beloved pets their lives. Annie chose us immediately, and SHE decided she was coming home with us. And she did!

Annie's "proper" name is Lady Anne, after Lady Anne Boleyn, the ill-fated second Queen of Henry VIII of England, due to my affinity for all things Tudor.

Besides, Annie was born a Queen and she knows it! She rules our hearts, and has trained her owners well.

My Dad passed away from lung cancer in April 2010, and Annie mourned with my Mom and I. She has been a source of immeasurable joy and love and comfort for us. We would not take anything for her, and she knows it.
