Dory celebrating her 3rd birthday this past April

Dory is a pound puppy I found on Petfinder 11/30/07 in a kill shelter only a few months after we lost our senior Mini, Maggie. I sped down the interstate in order to claim her before anyone else! Come to find out she had Parvo & our pound puppy ended up costing us a small fortune! She is worth every penny & then some! Anyone else who may have adopted her from the shelter may not have spent the extra money to save her, not knowing her at all. I'm thankful for her everyday! She brings so much happiness to me, her daddy & older brother Niko (a mini, too!) Dory has an amazing spirit & a jest for life. She loves belly rubs, toys, tearing up envelopes with windows that crinkle & paper towel rolls. She loves playing with her brother & all the fosters that come through. She's small but you can guarantee she is the boss of us all!

I know Miss Dory's mom from facebook and schnauzerloverescue. I have seen some of her youtube videos and she is as perky and funny and prissy and ham-it-up as she looks in her photo. I would love to know what she is thinking, probably "I KNOW I'm the cat's pajamas and I rule the house".

Thank you all for your sweet comments! We love Dory's ears! They do make her Dory & we like to keep them fluffy because it fits her sassy personality! She got her name from Ellen's character in "Finding Nemo" (she was sooo funny!), it sounds good with Niko (her brother's name) & it's so close to "adorable" & that is certainly what she is!

Your Dory is ADORABLE!!!!
I adopted my 3rd Mini Fritz after my Jake died in February of this year. Jake was 2 yrs old when I adopted him and he lived to be 17 yrs old. There was no question I would get another Mini....

Fritz is also 2 yrs old and I hope to have him for as many yrs as my Jake. I would LOVE to have more than one Mini but my husband is allergic to dogs and I am doing good to have one in the house!
