Christmas Schnauzer Gumby

Here is our little guy getting ready for Christmas. We are working on finding him a little girl. Still looking but I am sure he will like his present. Gumby is the best present we could have for Christmas.

We adopted Gumby about 15 months ago from Animal Rescue of Tulsa. He was rescued from the pound and stayed in a foster home for a week before we adopted him. He was 6 years old and we were the only family who filled out the forms on him. I knew he was my little boy the day I saw his face on the computer. After holding him in my arms, he had my heart.

Gumby is a smart little guy who loves his mommy. It was love at first sight for him, too. He let's me cut his hair and bathe him without argument. He plays with me and he protects me. He is the alpha male and lets daddy know it, too. They are a pair to watch! It is the battle of the fittest. They howl together and see who gets to be close to mommy first.

Gumby's daddy laughs because he knows Gumby will let me do anything, like dress him up in fancy duds. He has a wardrobe that is bigger than mine, LOL! So here it is on Christmas. Gumby has his hat on and has his Santa Claus that he got for Christmas. He looks so sweet in this picture but he has a very sassy side of him, too.

So...Merry Christmas from sweet and sassy little Gumby and from our house to yours. May the Lord light up your path to a fantastic New Year filled with abundance and love.

Well, Gumby was an older rescue dog and he is starting to slow down. He can't jump on the bed anymore and sleeps quite a lot. He has a little brother now who likes to have the upper hand. Winston, who is also a rescue dog, is a toy Shih-tzu. They both have different personalities. Gumby still likes to please his mommy and is her little boy. Winston loves everybody!

If you ponder over a special Christmas gift, take a trip down to the local rescue. The babies there will warm your heart and make you smile. After my daughter's death, Gumby helped fill the hole in my heart. He is my little therapy dog. Winston just adds to the therapy and fills my heart with so much love.

Merry Christmas to all of you. I hope your little boys and girls give you lot's of love and kisses for Christmas. It doesn't get any better than that!
