Melanie came into my life as I was grieving the lost of my first Mini Schnauzer 7 years ago. While surfing the web I came across a rescue site in Texas and there she was. Puppy breeder sold to a person who decided they didn't want her and let her loose on the streets. Picked up from a Kill shelter. Love the rescue groups. Hard to understand anyone not loving her. Rarely barks but she loves to smack me with her paws when she wants something.

Melanie must have her collar on. After a bath or grooming she wants it back on. She's smart like that. She loves wearing clothes and runs like the wind in shoes. Her favorite thing to do is stare at me with those eyes. Those big doe eyes with those lashes. This is why my friends dubbed her Marilyn Monroe. The pose, those eyes and strutting her stuff. Christmas, Halloween, whenever, she's always easy to snap. She's a star alright. In my life anyway!
