Meet Mischievous McKenzie

Halloween 2014

We rescued our mischievous miniature schnauzer McKenzie in 2008, while we were stationed in Italy. She was badly beaten. The person who had her cracked her back, cracked her head and broke both her hind legs. She had surgeries and she came to us after she healed.

When we first got her she would cower and pee, it took her 3 months to come to me. Fast forward 7 years she is the life of our family along with our border collie. She loves to chase her....she tries to catch the squirrels and birds. We live at the lake and it's hard to keep her out of the water.

She likes her daily denta stick, she loves strawberries, carrots, bananas, and even celery. She sleeps with her zebra every night. She loves to wear sweaters and on occasion a costume around the holidays.

My husband will talk to her and she talks right back at him. She is the first thing I see when I come home, as she is in front of the door when I open it. She sleeps in her bed on my side of the bed every night. Never a dull moment with her in our life. She loves us and we very much love her.
