Kirby, the WonderDog!

Selected Kirby when I knew that my first rescued Mini Schnauzer would not be with me much longer. Heidi was 12 and not doing well and I thought that a puppy might help her perk up! Sadly, she passed a few weeks after getting Kirby so his job became to help me get over losing my first Schnauzer.

He accomplished that and more! I got him from a rescue organization in Ohio that claimed he was picked up from an Amish puppy mill. Thankfully, he came to me with no emotional issues and has been a joy ever since. Now, at 3 and 1/2, he is the center of our retired schedule and keeps us getting out.

On road trips, he is my protector; guarding the car as if it was our home. He uses his bark judicially, so when he does growl or bark, we know something is up! He is naturally quiet but when he goes to the groomer for the day, it is too quiet in the condo!

Will likely always have a Mini Schnauzer! Just can't beat their mix of intelligence, personality, and non-shedding (minimal allergy) qualities!

Our Mini girl, Evie did the same thing for us both. We lost our little Shiba Inu, Mandi who had been with us for 13 yrs. Alot happened the yr we lost her. My husband was diagnosed with heat disease, he retired, and we relocated back to AZ. About a yr ago we got Evie when she was just 6 weeks. She will be a yr in just a few days. She is a hoot. So much character and energy. She has brought so much joy. Love her to death.
