Meet my sweet little mini girl Kayd. Kayd's full name is Joey's Katherine Hepburn.

When Joey passed away Kayd wailed for days. Sometimes she still does. Her little heart was broken in two.

Her tail was attached to her broken heart.

Joey and Kayd loved playing together. Sometimes Joey would trip Kayd by gently tugging on her back leg when they ran together. That would make her so mad, but she would get up and they would start all over again. Joey never, ever hurt Kayd, but she would many times make my good boy cry when she nipped him with her razor teeth. He never held it against her though.

Joey taught Kayd how to get peanut butter out of a kong, chase squirrels, kill the squeaky toys when the vacuum cleaner was on and many other fun stuff in the life of Joey.

Kayd's tail recently started wagging again.

Kayd started doing things just like Joey which she never did before. That makes me smile.

We miss Joey every day, but Joey lives on through our memories - asleep in our hearts until we meet again.
