Jack and Poe

I found a breeder on-line by the pics of her dogs and contacted her. my husband and I felt she was probably a puppymill owner and just wanted to get these two dogs out of there. We never saw the place or the woman but we had these two shipped to our home and found them to be sick and unkempt.

Poe is a parti color male and Jack was a salt/pepper male. They were not related but acted like brothers. We got them at age 4 mos and found thru time we could not keep both due to the competition of two male dogs. We "shopped" around a bit and found a couple that was going to have a baby in about 2 months and wanted to raise a baby dog with him. We were so grateful to have found these people that although to get Jack back to health and provide proper medical care for him it had cost us somewhere around $1200, we simply asked these kind people to use our same groomer and vet because it was in the dog's best interest. to this day Jack is king in his home and has two great boys to play with.

Poe stayed with us as our baby and has our grandchild to play with and dote over him. they are exactly the same age(4). Poe has a lot of mental issues after his puppymill ordeal. hard for him to feel comfortable but he knows he has a mommy and daddy that love him and will always treat him as one of their family.

We feel these two dogs were victims of money loving people. so sad for the poor dogs. We encourage anyone that thinks there isn't something right about a dog's environment to take action and do what they can. One must always advocate for the four-legged victims we chance upon.
