How to break my puppy from chewing on the furniture

she's only 8 weeks old, so she's cutting teeth; HOWEVER, she's not going to be happy cutting her teeth on my furniture, my legs, my shoes, my STUFF! She loves her toys and chews on them; however, she leaves the toys to attack the furniture, me, etc.
Stern language brings things to a haul for a few minutes, then back to it ...
A stern NO with a finger up like I am going to pop her works, for a while, but then back to it ...

Help please!

She's smart - potty training has worked well, so she is understanding ... but it is time to move on!1

Teething Tips for Puppy Owners

1. It's a good idea to start training "leave it" command. And "drop it" command.
2. Replace the item with an appropriate chew toy.
3. Massage your puppy's gums with your finger or a small piece of ice to help ease the pain.
4. You can also freeze some carrots and string beans or apple slices and bananas for your pup to chew on. These particular fruits and veggies are safe for dogs and the freezing of them again will help ease your puppy's pain.

Hang in there. It gets better and your Schnauzer will mature into a faithful companion like no other.
