Chew Bone Anxiety

My female schnauzer gets very possessive over her chew bones. She will growl and snap at anyone who comes near her when she has a bone or is lying near where she has hidden a bone. How can I modify this behavior? She has actually bitten my husband.

When she has a chew bone approach her with something else she really likes. She should drop the chew bone to take whatever else you have. (Even if it is another chew bone.)When she does praise her. You can always put a command to it like drop it when she releases the bone.
