A Tribute to Bogey

Bogey was my first Miniature Schnauzer and just the best dog ever. Losing him was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. He was perfect on a Friday, got sick over the weekend, and was gone on Monday evening.

I miss him every single day of my life, and am saddened that he was taken from us at such a young age (only 6). What gives me some comfort is that I know that Bogey is running free, happy at the Rainbow Bridge. I know he has found my Mom, his grandmother, who was the biggest Schnauzer lover ever.

Rest in peace Bogey, we love you and still miss you!

Sir Beauregard Rufus Martinez

Bogey, a purebred Miniature Schnauzer, loved going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. He also loved spending time with family and snuggling up under the covers. His favorite toy was a tennis ball and he loved carrots.

Bogey's arrival story: It was difficult locating a Miniature Schnauzer in our immediate area. I got the idea to look at websites of newspapers, and expanded my search area. We finally found a breeder in Lincoln, California, from her ad in the Sacramento Bee newspaper! We drove approximately 5 hours round-trip to pick up our little boy. Worth every second of it!

Bogey registered AKC name is Sir Beauregard Rufus but also had several nicknames besides Bogey including: Bogster, Boges & Bogish
