Alphie in the Cucumber Patch

My unforgettable schnauzer, Alphie, went over the Rainbow Bridge some time ago. I'm too old to take care of another one now.
In Alphie's memory I wrote a true published children's book titled "Alphie in the Cucumber Patch" Also have a video of the same title on YouTube.

yes you guessed it he loved cucumbers. I never did get any pickles made.

The family didn't mind as we had a lot of fun chasing him out of the patch with a cucumber stuck in his mouth.

He will always be in our hearts.

The heart of a Mini Schnauzer beats with love!!

I oftentimes visit this page when I'm away from home because I miss my little mini, Chancla. (which means slipper)

I'm saddened that i can't listen nor read the story of a beautiful Mini called "Alphie" any more: I wish I knew who he was and how much he was loved!

Gretchen in the cucumber patch

We too had a cucumber lover only she was a German Shepard named Gretchen. She would go into the garden and pick the largest cucumbers and bring them to the front yard, plunk herself down, placing the cucumber between her front paws and with her lower teeth dig out the flesh and seeds leaving a yard full of cucumber canoes left for us to clean up.
We now cater to the smaller German breed, Mini-Schnauzer Danka and Shayna. Love them both.
